What is DPC?

DPC stands for Direct Primary Care, also known as DMC or Direct Medical Care.  This style of membership-based practice allows for more patient time and less administrative burden, making longer appointment times and relaxed appointments.

DPC can also be defined as Affordable Concierge Medicine- where you get concierge-level of care without concierge prices.

As a DPC member, you get access to a multitude of discounts on services and products along with regular health checkups, access to your doctor, sick visits when you need them or preventative care with a wellness goal in place.

Note: If you DO have insurance but want a higher level of care, You may still able to utilize your insurance coverage for all other medical care received outside our practice including certain tests, blood-work/labs, imaging, medications and specialty referrals ordered by the physician.

Certain benefits are retained only for Misra Wellness DPC members.

Question 2

Do you take insurance?

Yes, Currently we accept Most Aetna Plans, Anthem Blue Cross and Regular Medicare Plans.  Please check back as we continue to add more insurance plans we accept.

We request that when making an appointment you provide your insurance information and a copy of your insurance card so we can ensure a your plan is accepted and you experience a seamless visit.

Co-Pays for insurance plans are required up front prior to the visit.

Misra Wellness DPC Members do NOT have Co-Pays.

As Men's Health is a niche treatment, generally most Men’s Health treatments are not covered by insurance.  This is what allows us the freedom to be unique and personalize your experience.  Additionally, for FSA/HSA, you must check with your tax expert regarding the use of health savings accounts or flexible spending accounts.

For memberships or aesthetic services, we do not bill Medicare or any Medicare affiliate programs or any insurance.

Insurance plans are kept completely separate from DPC and no insurance payment may go towards any Direct Primary Care membership fees, services or treatments.

Question 3

How does the DPC Health Membership work?

Initial consultations are currently $200.00 (normally $250.00) which include  a visit with Dr. Misra in person, physical exam and discussion of your life's wellness-goals.  After this initial Registration (Enrollment) Fee, membership is $129/month. Please see memberships services page (https://www.misrawellness.com/membership-info)for additional details on what membership includes and additional free or discounted benefits that are included with each tiered membership, including certain free and included testing and vaccinations, discounts on medication, aesthetic services, and bloodwork (for those who are without insurance).

Note: Patients with Medicare Insurance are not candidates for this type of membership due to CMS laws.

Question 4

How does the Men's Health Membership work?

Initial consultations are currently $150.00 (normally $250.00) which include blood work, a visit with Dr. Misra in person for a thorough physical exam and medical treatment plan.  If you are medically eligible for the membership, subsequent membership enrollments are tiered starting at $99/month (and may be subject to change) charged in either 6 month or 1 year increments. Question 5

Will you limit your membership size?

Yes, we will limit the membership so that we are able to provide a comprehensive personalized patient experience.  If demand increases, we will start a waiting list and as openings become available we will contact you regarding membership openings.  If demand is high enough we may make plans to add another physician and expand the practice.

Question 6

Do you take Medicare/Medicaid?

We accept Medicare and are currently working on partnering with certain affiliates.
We do not accept Medicaid at this time.

Question 7

What if I want to cancel my membership?

To cancel your DPC Membership or Men's Specialty Health Membership, You must   provide 30 days written notice to Misra Wellness to avoid the next billing charge.

Question 8

What if I cancelled my membership and want to rejoin?

Accepted Answer

You may do so for a flat fee of  $300.00.

Is there Parking?

Yes, there is parking for a fee on the premises (Rubio Avenue Parking Lot) and additionally there is plenty of free street parking.  
At this time we do not validate parking.

Question 10

What are the Wellness Wheels?

The Wellness Wheels is a fully equipped medical mobile office.  It is not included as any membership.

Service fee is $250 per visit.  This fee may be subject to change.  There must be valid, flat, oversized parking as due to the nature of the Wellness Wheels, certain areas will be difficult to service.

We are happy to say that we can do almost any service with the Wellness Wheels that you see listed, including any Active or Preventative Medical, Aesthetic Service (Botox, Laser treatments, peels etc),  Covid/Flu/RSV testing or Sick Visit Services. The exception to this is filler dissolution, which we require to be done in-office due to the complexity of this procedure done via ultrasound.

The Wellness Wheels can also  do corporate or special events for a separate fee.  We further can provide immediate Covid/Flu A and B/RSV testing prior to any event for guest's comfort and convenience.

Do you do Group, Corporate or Specialty Events?

The Wellness Wheels can also do Group, Corporate or Special events for a separate fee.  
We are a full service mobile office and can conveniently work at on site at production studios where filming may be occurring to ensure the health and well-being of the cast and crew.
We also can provide immediate Covid/Flu A and B/RSV testing prior to any event.

Does Misra Wellness Accept Insurance?

Currently we accept almost all Aetna Plans, Medicare and are in the process with onboarding/accepting  Anthem-Blue Cross and Blue Shield of California Plans.
